Terms of Service

In short
Dossova produces an AI-assisted draft technical file. It does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee acceptance by any marketplace. Our liability is capped, some categories are out of scope, and the English version below controls.

1 · Scope & acceptance

These Terms govern your access to and use of Dossova (the “Service”). By creating an account, running a generation, or otherwise using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. The English version is the controlling language; reference numbers for standards (for example EN 71-3) are never translated.

2 · What Dossova provides

Dossova assembles a structured draft technical file from the information you provide: a standards mapping, a hazard list grounded in public RAPEX / OPSS recall data, a risk-assessment table, and a Declaration of Conformity shell. It is a starting point you review and finish — an AI-assisted draft (level B, confidently finishable), not a conformity claim. You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and submission of any document you produce.

3 · No warranty

The Service relies on AI, which can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date: it may miss a hazard, cite a superseded standard, mis-read a photo, or omit a required field. Read the following before you rely on any output.

What Dossova is not
We are not a law firm and do not act as your legal representative. For legal advice, consult a qualified professional.

4 · Plans, fees & withdrawal

Right of withdrawal (EU Consumer Rights Directive)

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. A generated document is digital content supplied immediately. When you ask us to start generating, you accept the following waiver so we can begin at once:

I request that Dossova begin generating my document immediately. I understand that generation is the supply of digital content, that performance begins when generation starts, and that I therefore lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once generation has begun.

5 · Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dossova's total liability arising from or relating to your use of the Service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim and €50. This cap is non-aggregated — applies once in total, not per claim or per incident. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

6 · Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  1. submit unlawful, infringing, or counterfeit product information;
  2. use the Service for products outside its stated scope in order to obtain a document you know does not apply;
  3. misrepresent the origin, materials, or safety testing of a product;
  4. attempt to bypass scope gates, rate limits, or usage metering;
  5. resell, sublicense, or present Dossova output as a certification or a conformity claim;
  6. upload malware, scrape the Service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without our written authorisation;
  7. generate documentation on behalf of another party without their authority.
Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate access without a refund for a breach of this policy, and we may report unlawful use to the relevant authorities.

7 · Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the EU member state in which Dossova is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live: if you are an EU consumer, the mandatory law of your country of residence still applies; if you are in the UK, your statutory rights under UK law continue to apply and prevail over any conflicting term here.

8 · Data retention

Generated PDFs are retained for 10 years to meet the GPSR record-keeping obligation. Drafts and uploaded photos are short-lived — photos are purged within 24 hours of the vision step and drafts within 30 days. Consent and payment records are kept for the periods required by law. The full schedule is in our Privacy Policy.

9 · Closed beta

The Service is currently provided during a closed beta. Human review before download is a quality step and does not constitute approval, acceptance, or certification by Dossova or by any authority or marketplace. For paid generation, performance is deemed to begin when generation starts. Beta features may change or be withdrawn.
